As a Wireless Technician at Level-7 Internet, you are responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of customer equipment. This role requires you to be highly technical, safety-conscious and requires that you work well both individually and as part of a team.
This role is open to candidates of all backgrounds and abilities.
Qualifications & Skills
Education, Certifications & Experience
A valid drivers license is essential for travel to customer premises.
Previous experience working in an ISP or telecommunications environment is highly beneficial.
Hands-on experience with the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of network equipment is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Computer literate with a good understanding of networking technologies, including routers, wireless antennas and cabling.
Ability to troubleshoot network issues and perform basic configuration and maintenance of networking equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Physically fit and comfortable working in challenging indoor and outdoor environments.
Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
Additional Requirements
Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Installation of Customer Equipment
Carry out the installation of wireless antennas, routers, network cabling, power cabling, masts and brackets as required by customer specifications as well as any other site specific equipment.
Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and best practices for performance and safety.
Configuration of Equipment
Configure wireless antennas and routers to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the equipment or network.
Stock & Equipment Management
Manage and maintain order and cleanliness of company stock, equipment and vehicles.
Ensure that all necessary tools and equipment are available for installation and maintenance tasks.
Ad-Hoc Duties
Perform any additional duties as required by the company, including assisting with special projects, troubleshooting customer issues and supporting other team members.
