As an Infrastructure Technician at Level-7 Internet, you are responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of our infrastructure, including customer equipment, wireless antennas, routers, network cabling and high-site equipment. This role involves tower work, fibre installations and assisting various departments as needed.

Qualifications & Skills
Education, Certifications & Experience
A valid drivers license is essential for travel to customer premises and high sites.
Previous experience working in an ISP or telecommunications environment is highly beneficial.
Hands-on experience with the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of network equipment is an advantage.
Experience working at heights is beneficial.
1 – 2 years experience in a technical support role, preferably in an ISP or telecommunications environment.
Skills & Competencies
Computer literate with a good understanding of networking technologies, including routers, wireless antennas and cabling.
Ability to troubleshoot network issues and perform basic configuration and maintenance of networking equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Physically fit and comfortable working in challenging indoor and outdoor environments.
Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work on a stand-by schedule, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, based on operational requirements.
Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
Training for First Aid, Fire Fighting and Climbing and Safety will be provided.

Customer Equipment Installation
Install customer equipment such as wireless antennas, routers, network and power cabling, masts and brackets, based on specific requirements and customer needs.
Configuration of Equipment
Configure and set up wireless antennas, routers and switches to ensure optimal performance.
High-Site Installations & Tower Work
Install wireless and network-related equipment at towers, high sites and remote locations, ensuring all equipment is set up and functioning properly.
Perform necessary tower work, including the installation and maintenance of equipment on elevated structures, following strict safety protocols.
Maintenance & Support
Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on company high sites and equipment, ensuring uptime and operational reliability.
Cross-Department Assistance
Provide support to other departments when needed, contributing to a cooperative and productive team environment.
Fibre Sites & Installations
Install and maintain fibreoptic cables, ensuring proper connections and high-speed internet delivery to customers.
Ad-Hoc Duties
Perform additional duties as required by the company, including building maintenance, solar installations, troubleshooting and supporting other team members.
