Job Overview

As a Field Recovery Agent at Level-7 Internet, you will be responsible for recovering network equipment from customers with overdue accounts. Serving as the final point of contact in the collections process,
your primary task will be to retrieve routers and wireless equipment from non-paying customers. This role requires a background in security or enforcement and demands a professional, ethical approach to ensure company assets are recovered safely and respectfully.
This role is open to candidates of all backgrounds and abilities.

Qualifications & Skills

Education, Certifications & Experience

  • A valid drivers license is essential for travel to customer premises.
  • Proven background in security, law enforcement, debt collection, or asset recovery.
  • Prior experience working for an ISP company is beneficial.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Computer literate with a good understanding of basic networking equipment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with clients respectfully and assertively both in person and over the phone.
  • Confident in making and receiving calls, handling difficult conversations calmly, and arranging collections with clarity and professionalism.
  • Ability to de-escalate tense situations and manage sensitive interactions without intimidation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and moral judgment.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Recovery

  • Visit the premises of customers in bad debt to recover network-related equipment.
  • Ensure proper documentation and handling of recovered equipment.
  • Verify asset serial numbers and update asset tracking systems accordingly.

Customer Interaction

  • Engage with customers respectfully but assertively to explain the purpose of the visit.
  • Diffuse potential conflicts and handle sensitive situations tactfully and lawfully.
  • Offer guidance on settlement options if within scope.

Coordination and Reporting

  • Work closely with the Accounts and Operations teams to plan recovery routes and schedule visits.
  • Complete daily recovery reports and submit proof of recovery.
  • Escalate unsafe situations or non-compliance to management.

Safety, Ethics and Legal Compliance

  • Adhere to all relevant laws, company policies and safety protocols when visiting customer properties.
  • Maintain a professional, non-threatening and ethical demeanour at all times.
  • Exercise good judgment and never use intimidation or coercion during recovery efforts.
  • Uphold the company’s values with a strong moral compass and work ethic.
